Introduction and Scope

Salati Qourbak ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") helps you find accurate prayer times, discover nearby mosques, receive Adhan notifications, and follow mosque announcements. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

It applies whether you create an account or use Guest Mode. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

What Data We Collect

Location Data

• Precise GPS location — to calculate prayer times for your exact position and show mosques near you.
• Collected while the App is in use, or in the background only if you enable location-based Adhan alerts.
• You can deny or revoke location access any time in iOS Settings and switch to a manually selected city instead.

Account Information

• Email and password (direct sign-up), or your name and email via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
• Optional profile fields you add yourself: full name, phone number, city.

In Guest Mode, no account data is collected — preferences and followed mosques stay on your device.

Device and Usage Data

• Device type, OS version, app version.
• Push notification token, used to deliver Adhan alerts and mosque announcements.
• Followed mosques and notification settings.
• Crash and diagnostic logs, used only to fix bugs.

How We Use Your Data

• Calculate accurate prayer times based on your location.
• Show mosques near your current position.
• Send Adhan notifications at the correct times.
• Deliver announcements from mosques you follow.
• Create and manage your account across devices.
• Remember your city and followed mosques.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix technical issues.
• Respond to support requests.

We do not sell your data, and we run no advertising or third-party ad-tracking in the App.

Third-Party Services We Use

A small number of trusted providers help operate the App. They may only use your data to provide services to us — never for their own advertising.

Data Storage, Security, and Retention

• Stored securely with firebase, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
• Access limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate and support the App.
• Account data is kept while your account is active; on deletion, we remove or anonymize it within [e.g., 30 days], except where law requires longer retention.
• Guest Mode data lives locally and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access and update your profile from within account settings.
• Delete your account anytime in the App or by contacting us.
• Revoke location access in iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services.
• Turn off notifications in iOS Settings or in-app.
• Use Guest Mode to browse without an account.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn a child under 13 has provided data, we will delete it promptly.

GDPR / CCPA Compliance

EEA/UK residents have GDPR rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port their data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal basis includes your consent (e.g., location, notifications) and our legitimate interest in running the App.

California residents have CCPA rights to know, delete, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App or our practices evolve. Significant changes will be announced in the App before they take effect. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
